aparto student - keeping safe an connected

At aparto the wellbeing of our residents is of utmost importance. We create positive and safe environments and are delighted to have fostered a strong sense of community across our 12 residences.

COVID-19 has changed the way we operate, and we have proactively responded to this to introduce measures to keep all of our residents safe. Rest assured, we have vigorous cleaning processes in place and enhanced social distancing measures:

  • We have added social distancing communications in the form of signage all around the building
  • Enhanced sanitation protocols overall, with tactics for high-frequency touch points
  • Social spaces have social distancing strategies supported by graphic reminders to follow protocols
  • New lift procedures to limit rider capacity
  • Support of personal hygiene with readily available hand sanitiser
  • Communication strategy with prompt case reporting to current residents

keeping you safe

  • Added hand sanitizing stations at all entrances
  • The use of personal protective equipment and protective screens in our reception areas
  • Enhanced and recorded cleaning and disinfection frequency
  • Training informed by World Health Organization recommendations and health guidelines and comprehensive staff training to ensure all team members are well versed in the new protocols
  • Enhanced Team Member safety and well-being: PPE has been provided where necessary and we are proud partners with a renowned Employee Assistance Programme
  • Reorganised all our common spaces to facilitate social distancing
  • There is a guest management policy in place to protect all residents – All guests will need to sign in and out of our buildings to assist with check and trace. We will delete sign in information after 28 days.
  • We have introduced a specific process for when we have to visit your room or flat – we will always contact you first before we visit to ensure that the visit is okay
  • We have conducted individual Risk Assessments for different areas of the building, including our gyms
  • We are reopening gyms following government guidelines and now have a booking system and a maximum capacity based on the size of the gym. We have divided the gyms into specific distanced areas and we are asking all residents to be responsible and clean down equipment after use with wipes and sanitiser that will be provided by us in our gyms.

keeping areas clean

  • All residences have increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting public spaces, with an emphasis on disinfecting protocol focused on “high-touch” areas including door handles, public bathrooms, reception, stairwells, furnishings/hard surfaces, laundry facilities, lifts and push buttons
  • We are using anti-viral chemicals to disinfect all areas, including your rooms before you move in
  • All our rooms go through a vigorous cleaning and disinfecting regime prior to your arrival

doing your part

  • Be mindful of your own and others’ wellbeing
  • Wash or sanitize your hands frequently
  • Pay attention to signage and follow residence procedures
  • Be kind and exercise empathy as we navigate this new normal together
  • Do not shake hands, instead, wave
  • Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or sleeve. Do not use your hands

  • Food offerings have been converted to prepared grab-and-go bags not to be consumed in common spaces
  • We have already introduced a great virtual experience programme for our current residents including DJ nights & yoga classes to name a few
  • We will be running smaller scale events, virtual events and other activities to make sure residents get to socialise and meet each other
