Service Details:
- Frequency: Cleaning services will be carried out at a minimum of once every two weeks, with the goal of once per week where possible.
- Availability: Cleaning services apply to communal kitchens within ensuite and Townhouse locations only.
- Scope of Cleaning: The service includes:
- Mopping and hoovering of floors.
- Surface cleaning, including countertops and common touchpoints.
- Monthly cleaning of microwaves, ovens, and fridges (see exclusions below).
- Disposal of bin bags.
Exclusions:
- Unwashed Kitchen Items: Cleaners will not wash or handle individual kitchen utensils, cookware, or dishes.
- Food Refuse: Refuse containing food items will not be disposed of as part of the cleaning service.
- Fridge Items: While fridges will be cleaned once per month, the removal of items—including out-of-date items—will not be undertaken as they are considered personal property.
Resident Contribution:
- Shared Responsibility: Residents are warmly invited to maintain the cleanliness of their kitchen spaces. Cleaners will complement this by topping up the overall standard of cleanliness.
Additional Charges:
- Biohazard Situations: Any biohazardous conditions caused by residents, such as infestations or mould growth, will incur additional charges outside the usual cleaning service due to the need for specialist intervention.
Operational Hours:
- Cleaning will take place between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
Health and Safety Guidelines:
- Cleaners will not clean around individuals actively using the kitchen due to health and safety risks. Users are advised to vacate the space during cleaning times to facilitate efficient service.
Reporting and Misuse:
- Damage Reporting: Any damage identified by cleaners during their scheduled cleaning will be reported to the site management team.
- Abuse of Service: Any deliberate attempts to make the kitchen inaccessible or purposefully dirty to exploit the cleaning service may result in the service being withdrawn for the affected space.
Resident Responsibilities:
- Kitchen Accessibility: Residents must ensure the kitchen area is accessible at the scheduled cleaning times.
- Cleanliness Standards: Residents are expected to maintain a reasonable level of cleanliness and tidiness to support effective cleaning services.
Changes and Cancellations:
- Caton Court reserves the right to amend or cancel the cleaning schedule at any time due to operational needs or other unforeseen factors.
General:
- By residing at Caton Court and utilising communal kitchens, residents are deemed to accept these cleaning terms and conditions.
Privacy:
Any personal information shared in relation to this cleaning service (e.g., for reporting issues or providing feedback) will be managed in accordance with our privacy policy.
