If there’s anything wrong with your home, get in touch with the team at reception and fill in a quick repair form. A member of our facilities team will fix things as soon as they can.

We’re more than happy to listen to you if you feel like sharing a problem. We’d suggest getting in contact with your university support team first, but if you still need to talk, we can arrange something your Accommodation Manager.

Yes! You’ll share a post box with your housemates and get a key to check your post. Parcels can be delivered to reception, where we’ll look after them – just be sure to bring your ID with you upon collection.

Getting Around

Getting Around

There are only 10 car parking spaces on site, with each costing £1000.00 for the year. If you need somewhere to park, you’ll have to be quick as they’re offered on a first come, first served basis.

There’s plenty of secure bike storage available to residents.

Moving Out

Moving Out

On your last day with us, you’ll need to pack up all your belongings, tidy the room out and leave it in the same condition as you found it in. Be sure to hand in your fob/post box key when you check out.

My Apartment

My Apartment

All rooms at Queen’s Court are single occupancy, aside from our studio rooms which allow two residents to share between them.

That responsibility lands on you and your housemates – we’d recommend keeping a cleaning rota when you move in. Additionally, the apartment can share costs for a cleaner to do the job for you. Note: Rubbish and recycling collection is included in the rent.

We’ll clean up the communal areas of your apartment, but we appreciate any effort from you to take care of things as much as possible.

Queen’s Court is strictly non-smoking, though residents are welcome to smoke outside of the building, off-site.

Room Allocation

Room Allocation

Sure you can, just notify us that you want to live in the same apartment as your friends during your booking.

Absolutely. When making your booking, just let us know and we’ll get the wheels in motion.

Socialising

Socialising

Yeah sure, friends and family are more than welcome to visit, and we allow one guest to stay in your room with you for 3 nights a week. However, we ask that you be present throughout their stay and sign them in on arrival.

While your guest is visiting, you are wholly responsible for them, including signing them in and out and ensuring they follow all aparto regulations while on the property.

Go for it, but please be mindful of other students living in the building and clean up the place when you’re done.

Viewing a Room

Viewing a Room

Want to take a look for yourself? We’d love to meet you! Please call us on 0118 3722140 or complete our tour booking form to arrange a viewing.

Please come and visit us at Queens Court, 15 Queens Walk, Reading. You will need to confirm with us when you would like to visit so we can arrange access to the room type you are looking for.

Usually our tours last around 30 minutes.

No worries, simply give us a call and we’ll either re-arrange or cancel the viewing.

You’ll see all the communal areas including the common room, study rooms, gym, cinema room and private dining room. We’ll also show you around an apartment and bedroom.

What’s Included?

What’s Included?

Yes, Wi-Fi makes up part of your rent. Your room also has a broadband connection on its desk.

Every room has its own TV, but we don’t provide a TV Licence – residents are responsible for this at an additional cost.

In the kitchen, you’ll find a hob, combi oven and fridge in your room, but you’ll have to bring along your own utensils, dishes, pots/pans and other small appliances.

Queen’s Court also has a supply of hoovers that you’ll have to sign out at the Reception desk.

Unless it’s for storing prescribed medication, we don’t allow residents to keep fridges in their room.

Be sure to bring along your favourite pillows or that extra comfy duvet as we don’t supply bedding. All our rooms have a 4ft bed, which fits double bedding no problem.

In order to use the laundry facilities here, residents receive a laundry card – or download an app linked to a PayPal account – and top either up with credit. Handy little essentials which mean you don’t have to take a load of dirty laundry with you on your visits home.

Yeah, make yourself at home, it’ll make settling in so much easier. Please make sure you return it to its original state. Otherwise, damage charges will apply.

Your Tenancy Agreement

Your Tenancy Agreement

We’d prefer it if you paid your rent over 3 instalments over the course of the year, but it’s worth talking to your Accommodation Manager, as you might be able to agree on another payment arrangement.

Sure, the room is available to stay in from the start of your tenancy agreement until its end.

Get in touch with us to check availability.

Once we’ve set the dates of the tenancy, we can’t alter them, sorry!
