Kingston University is situated in a leafy, riverside location near the Thames. Kingston University has over 120 years of history and first opened in 1899 as Kingston Technical Institute. It is ranked in the UK’s top 40 in the 2021 Guardian University Guide and is top is the UK for design and crafts, perfect for those embarking on a career in the creative industries. Kingston University is also top in London for biosciences and nursing and midwifery and is a top 10 London University, as well as being ranked in the top 200 young universities in the world.

Home to over 18,000 students with around 5000 overseas students from over 140 countries, Kingston University celebrates a multicultural community who study a range of exciting subjects, from fashion to biochemistry. Kingston University has 4 campuses located in Kingston and Roehampton. The University also has 4 faculties, dived into the following schools: Kingston School of Art, Faculty of Business and Social Sciences, Faculty of Health, Social care & Education and the Faculty of Science, Engineering & Computing.

Many famous alumni started off their journey at Kingston University and ended up in impressive roles across film, art, politics, and business including the actor Ben Barnes and the CEO of British Red Cross Mike Adamson.

The Student’s Union runs various events and activities including conferences, dinner and dances and guest speakers. There are also more than 90 clubs or societies to join from fencing, football and snowsports.

Kingston University is easily reached by our free bus service with a journey time of just 20 minutes. With campuses located close to the city centre, traveling is easy is regular buses and also trains into London in under 20 minutes.
