University experience

The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland formerly the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, is a conservatoire of dance, drama, music, production and film in the centre of Glasgow, Scotland. It is a member of the Federation of Drama Schools.

Founded in 1847, it has become the busiest performing arts venue in Scotland with over 500 public performances each year. The current Principal is American pianist and composer Jeffrey Sharkey, the President is Sir Cameron Mackintosh, and the Patron is Prince Charles.

RCS is the only place in Europe where you can study all of the performing arts on the one campus. There is a distinctive creative energy at RCS and you’ll be made to feel part of the inclusive and diverse environment from the very beginning of your studies.

The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland is located close in the city centre. The journey time, walking from aparto Glasgow West End, is around 30 minutes and around a 10-minute drive.
