Your room and apartment are furnished but you’ll need to bring along items for the kitchen, your bedding and clothing, as well as any personal items and creature comforts too.

You’ll be greeted by a friendly member of our team. We’ll give you lots of information and of course, your fob key. If you are arriving out of hours, please let us know in advance and we’ll be waiting to help you.

Yes, you must be a student, enrolled in a college/university and be 17 years or older at check-in.

Yes, but only if you have requested to pay in instalments. Without a guarantor, you’ll be required to pay your rent in full in August.

General

General

If you have any maintenance issues, you can contact reception and fill in a quick repair form. A member of our facilities team will fix the problem as quickly as possible.

Our friendly team are always happy to lend an ear. Before talking to them, we’d advise you contact your university support team first, since they may be able to offer you advice. If you would like to speak with the Accommodation Manager, you’re welcome to book an appointment and they’ll be happy to meet with you.

Absolutely, you’ll have your own post box in reception and will be given a key to check your post at any time of the day/night. Parcels can be delivered to reception for us to look after, just bring your ID when coming to collect them. However, please be aware of our postal policy when using this service.

Sorry, we don’t offer car parking at any of our sites.

There is! You’ll find plenty of secure bike storage available for you to use throughout your time.

Moving Out

Before leaving you’ll need to get all your things packed up, since nothing can be left in the room. Please ensure that your room is clean and in the same condition as you found it. After that, you’ll need to hand back your fob/post box key when you check out.

Then it’s time to enjoy the rest of your summer!

My Apartment

Unless you’ve opted for a Premium or Premium Plus studio room for dual occupancy, all of our rooms are single occupancy.

That’s down to you – you can bring your rubbish/recycling to the bin store, and all collections are included in your rent.

The aparto team will take care of that, but please respect these living areas, as we’re proud of what we’ve done with them.

Our buildings and grounds are strictly non-smoking but you’re welcome to smoke outside of the building, off-site.

Yep, we want you to be as comfortable as possible when you’re with us. Just let us know you wish to live on the same floor when making your booking. If you don’t know anyone else moving to The Combworks, don’t worry – most students come on their own and soon make friends once they’re here.

Socialising

Of course, they can, they’re welcome to come and see you throughout your studies. You can have one guest stay in your room with you 3 nights a week, but you must be present the entire time and sign them in on arrival.

You are responsible for your guest. They must be signed in/out and follow all aparto regulations while on the property.

By all means, but please be considerate of other students living in the building, and make sure the space is nice and tidy afterwards.

Indeed it will. Wi-Fi is included in your rent, and you’ll also have a broadband connection in your room on your desk.

Yep, you’ll find a TV in all studio rooms, as well as in the common room, but you’ll be responsible for paying the TV Licence before you binge on that new Netflix series.

In your studio kitchen, you’ll find a toaster, kettle, hob and microwave/oven, as well as a fridge/freezer and plenty of storage. We’ll supply a general waste bin, a recycling bin, broom, dustpan, mob and bucket, iron and ironing board.

However, you’ll need to bring your own utensils, dishes, pots and pans, and other small appliances.

To keep you as comfortable as possible, your room features three drawers, shelving, a small double bed with under-bed storage and shelving, a wardrobe, small dining table and dining chairs, a fully kitted-out kitchen and en-suite bathroom.

You’ll need to bring along your own bedding though.

They’re super easy to use! You’ll have to top up a laundry card/phone app with a PayPal account with the amount you need and then you’re good to go. No more travelling home with dirty laundry.

Absolutely! We want you to be as comfortable as possible, so go get some posters, stick up your favourite photos and turn your room into a space you love to live in. Just make sure its returned to us the way you found it upon checkout. If not, damage charges will apply.

We prefer to receive rent in three instalments throughout the year, but talk with your Accommodation Manager as you might be able to work something out with them.

Sure! The room is your home to stay in at any time from the start of your tenancy until the end.
